Welcome To John Mcgeever's Biography

I have just begun carving and enjoy it greatly. My grandfather was a wood carver as well as a lumber jack so I guess it was only a matter of time before I started carving. As a kid I used to carve with him and enjoyed it, I now remember how much fun it was watching him make things from wood. Now that I have started carving I can see why he liked it so much. It is great to be able to make what seems like a living animal out of a hunk of tree. Every carving is different and challenging for me that is what makes it so interesting for me.
