“Power Carving” rotary tools feature long-lasting, razor-sharp carbide cutting teeth arranged into a unique open pattern to resist “loading” while providing the “Power Carver” rapid stock removal and smoother finishes.

SABURR TOOTH™ power carving burrs have been long known for their cutting speed and quality.  These structured carbide toothed carving burrs utilize a staggered tooth design that cuts quickly and efficiently leaving a clean chip free surface that only an abrasive burr can provide. The open face design provides constant surface cooling of the friction surface while carving, reducing heat build up common with conventional router bits.  The unique carbide hair like design works as well in reverse rotation as it does forward for those using a reversible motor.  SABURR TOOTH carving burrs are rated up to 30,000 RPM's and are available in 1/8", 1/4" and 3/32nd Shank shafts in a multitude of shapes and sizes.  Any of the burrs shown can be used on wood, plastics, and soft stones.  The ball nose carving burrs offer you the large working face of a sphere with the side cutting ability of a cylinder shape.  They are basically two carving burrs in one.  Ball nose carving burrs leave the smoothest surface finish of any cutter shape.  No ridges or lines often left behind from using a flat tipped cylinder shape cutter.  The most popular size is the 3/4" x 1 1/4" set (shown above).  The number of cutting teeth per revolution is almost double that of the smaller sizes, giving you more cutting action per RPM.  Great for initial bulk shaping.  Then switching over to a smaller burr for areas where tighter detail is needed
